State Grid Hangzhou Power Supply Company: 220 kV domestic insulated cable successfully delivered

On November 14, the cable delivery ceremony for the 220 kV domestic insulated cable large-scale application project was successfully concluded at the site on Yujiaqiao Road, marking the official launch of the 220 kV cable laying for the Yujiaqiao high-voltage line relocation project. This project is the first large-scale application of domestic insulation materials for 220 kV cables by State Grid Corporation, which has significant implications for breaking the Western monopoly on cable base materials and represents a major breakthrough in the domestic cable engineering field.
Yao Guangyuan, deputy director of the cable operation and inspection center of State Grid Hangzhou Power Supply Company, introduced that the research project on the large-scale preparation and application technology of self-insulated materials for 220 kV AC cables is a key scientific and technological project of State Grid in recent years. Through multi-party collaboration, excellent domestic high-voltage cable insulation materials have been successfully developed, aiming to break the bottleneck in the cable industry and promote the localization of main insulation materials for high-voltage cables.
State Grid Hangzhou Power Supply Company selected the Yujiaqiao Road relocation project as the application project for domestic insulated cables. The entire project involves laying approximately 7.2 kilometers of cable. Through preliminary technical indicator verification, cable type testing, on-site supervision, and factory acceptance, it actively promotes the large-scale production and application of domestic insulated high-voltage power cables, providing safer, more reliable, and economical products for the development of the power industry. It sets a new benchmark for independent innovation and high-quality development in China's cable industry and is of great significance for enhancing the independent innovation capability of China's power equipment industry and ensuring national energy security.
